About this deal

S. fans can toast the launch of this historic, final season on Netflix with this limited-edition partnership whiskey. The label showcases the emblems for the Shelby family emblem and Bushmills distillery, which are positioned above a sketch of the family matriarch. During the turn of the 20th Century, there was a street gang that managed to control politics in Birmingham.

With this new release, we celebrate Bushmills’ long history and the continued aging of whiskey during Prohibition.Fans have estimated the number of times Tommy Shelby has put back a glass of whiskey on Peaky Blinders. We are delighted the US fans can toast the launch of this historic, final season on Netflix with this limited edition partnership whiskey. But now you can also enjoy each episode like a true Peaky Blinder: with an Irish whiskey dram on your hands. Proximo Spirits, which owns Bushmills, made the application to the US Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau in January 2022. But if you're looking to get your whiskey fix in the spirit of Tommy and the rest of the Shelby family, Bushmills just launched a limited release of the exact liquor seen in the series, the Prohibition Blend Irish Whiskey.

Bottled at 46% ABV, Bushmills Prohibition Recipe is non-chill-filtered and aged in ex-Bourbon casks. Now, in partnership with the very much real Endemol Shine North American and Caryn Mandabach Productions, Bushmills has released its Prohibition Recipe Irish whiskey, in celebration of the release of the show’s final season in the United States. It’s rumoured that those belonging to the criminal enterprise used to drink in the brewery’s venues, which was what inspired the launch of its branded products. Made with no chill filtration, more alcohol (this bottle has 46% ABV), and aged in bourbon barrels, the whiskey employs the same methods used during Prohibition. On the nose, Peaky Blinder Irish whiskey is quite fruity, with pear, green apple, and blackcurrant fragrances that mix with a touch of tangerine.Bushmills Irish Whiskey has launched a new Prohibition Recipe expression, in ‘partnership’ with the fictional Shelby Co. Sadler’s, an English brewery, has launched a full range of spirits inspired by the Peaky Blinders’ story. Created by Bushmills master distiller, Colum Egan, the expression reflects distilling practices that were used in the earlier days of whiskey making. There are some sweet vanilla notes and a subtle touch of honey, accompanied by light hot chocolate notes and a touch of custard. Regardless of ancestral associations, the TV show’s production company later sued the brewhouse for trademark infringement, asking the court for an injunction to stop Sadler’s Ale from selling its products.

However, Caryn Mandabach Productions caught wind of this and sent a stern warning letter to Sadler’s in 2018. The new Bushmills Prohibition Recipe Irish Whiskey has been unveiled ahead of the ‘highly anticipated’ sixth and final series of Peaky Blinders, which will debut on 10 June. We couldn’t be more thrilled to have entered into such a fitting partnership between our show, Peaky Blinders and Bushmills,” Caryn Mandabach, the producer and owner of Peaky Blinders, said in a statement. But in the final taste, there are so much bold caramel flavor comes through, that it ruins the whole whiskey.Caryn Mandabach Productions, which produces the hit Neflix series about the flatcap-wearing gang, is thought to be mentioned on the proposed Bushmills label, which also allegedly says the whiskey is licensed by series distributor Banijay Group. This was bought as a gift, and I have no idea why; I’d never heard of the TV show and don’t normally drink Irish blends, and some of the reviews didn’t bode well, but this is rather nice indeed. A: An outstanding bottle of whiskey, but lacking that special something which makes for a true masterpiece. Since the Tasting Note was probably confused, because this Fuel has nothing to do with an Irish Wiskey.

If Tommy were drinking whiskey, he’d likely be drinking something a little different from what fans pour at home.

When you find a whiskey inspired by a TV show, what one often expects is an average spirit created just to capitalize on the fans’ interest. The name comes from a street gang that was around in the late 19th and early 20th Century, a member of which you can see on the label - note the all important cap, which apparently was where the gang name originates.
