The objective lens caps are tethered to the screw in the adaptor bush in the hinge, so they become untethered if you mount the binoculars. Both eyepieces can be focused independently and the interpupillary distance can be adjusted between 56–74mm. There are currently five models within the Pirsch ED series, all of which have an open bridge roof prism design and range in size from the mid-sized 34mm versions, to large 56mm models.
