First, I want to thank Kerry Wilkinson, Bookouture and NetGalley for providing me with this book so I can bring you this review.The story jumps between 2 timelines. I loved the way in which the author has narrated Jessica's thought process. It makes her character so relatable. You can't wait to see what she does next and there are moments of utter frustration where you would want jump into the plot and shake her just to stop her from doing something stupid. All of this makes it very hard to put the book down. Not sure I’d say it was a mother’s love that motivated the outcomes of her actions as the blurb indicates but I think her reactions seemed very realistic and relatable. It’s evidence,” Allio said as explanation. “It takes time for us to collect the samples we need before we can let her get cleaned up.” The Perfect Daughter is a fast-paced and intriguing Psychological Suspense novel. Palmer did a great job of keeping the tension high throughout the story. With the help of psychiatrist, Dr. Mitch McHugh, who works with Penny at the facility where Penny is being treated before she goes to trial, each of Penny's different personalities gives insight to things that have happened in Penny's past. Grace will go to the end of the earth to clear Penny of murder charges or to at least keep her from a life in prison. I wasn't too impressed with some of the things Grace did, hoping to shift the blame off her daughter. Grace takes dangerous risks and is also willing to have another teenager blamed for the death when it was her own daughter holding the knife.

OHH Kerry Wilkinson you never fail to disappoint me and one of the reasons you are one of my go to authors!! His latest The Perfect Daughter is another incredibly creative and twisted storyline that needs to be added to your tbr list! Now, Grace is fighting to help her daughter in any way that she can. But it is not an easy case as Penny's alters emerge. Could one of them hold the truth to what happened that night? That same night whilst they are at home, Jennifer receives a text from a anonymous number containing the terrifying words, I know what you did and now you will do something for me....

Grace had handwritten important details. Clues, Annie called them. Apparently good ole Gracey has never heard of clues. Amazing. So obviously there is a BIG moral element in this book! The old can you live with the choice(s) you made? What are you willing to do to keep a secret?
