About this deal

But, for those of us whose ever taken a bike for a cross-country tour, throttled through a Morocco dusty dessert trail, or thought of riding a motorcycle through a zombie apocalypse, the LEXIN B4FM headset will do what you need it to do.

Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). The system would need to allow all 4 of us to talk at will, and require no pressing of buttons or anything while underway, no distractions.A more permanent mounting option would be to use the adhesive pad bracket mount for the outside of the helmet. In the city we've seen it fade out fast just going around the block with houses in the way, but on the open road ~1 km or so apart is usually no issue. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag. But I can see if you wanted to also stream music or anything Bluetooth, not being able to use Bluetooth and intercom simultaneously would be a deal breaker.

Full-face helmet riders can use the supplied button mic that can neatly be placed behind the back of helmet cheek pads.

I'd say about 500 feet is the range where you start hearing a little scratching to the voice with it getting worse as you get farther away until you lose connection. I've got a set as well, and also have an AGV helmet, and my g/f also has a modular helmet (boom mic) - although hers is mounted on the left side, like yours and mine. Decision time: With a lot of information read and a lot of Youtube videos watched, I decided to give the Lexin B4FM a try. After a short highway ride we were on some back roads when I noticed how quiet the intercom was, there we zero wind noise, and non of us could hear the bikes engines or any other ambient noise.

Overall, we're going to stay with the Lexin intercoms, we were quite surprised how well they worked and the range was good as well. Bad points on the way in this morning I tried Radio 4 for the news and over 60mph which lets face it on a ZRX on A roads is pretty much all the time almost inaudible, in defence of the unit I have a very loud open pipe and I don't tend to hang about lol. So each motorcycle has one end unit, and one bridge unit, and the bridge units connect the 2 motorcycles. If you get stuck or confused, you can press the vol - and + and easily reset the connections on a unit to start fresh. Does anyone have this intercom model and has been successful getting it to work with the Google Assistant? I spent a week on the road riding through flash floods, tropical storms, extreme heat, baking sun, hungry swamp mosquito swarms, cell-tower dead zones, and raging gale winds.

Last intercoms I had were old dumb and cheap wired ones which were useless above 30mph, so the Lexin's are a revelation to me. My wife has a 3/4 LS2, that installation was slightly more difficult as some of the internal padding cannot be removed. Several times it has sort of 'snapped' out after a lot of effort and I've drawn blood many times - the mount has some sharp-ish edges. If you don't want to use clamp plate mounting bracket or you have some problems with using it, you can use the 3M tape bracket to adhere it onto the helmet. To remove the main unit from the bracket, use the Dismounting Stick to insert it between B4FM unit and the mounting bracket, then push the B4FM main unit up from the bracket. The PACKTALK has an auto-heal feature that is always working to establish a better connection between other devices. When I want to remove it from the helmet I always forget (until Jiffy-marker-ing an UP arrow) which way to push it off the helmet mount. It kills the audio of any non-LEXIN device that establishes the first direct bridge connection with you.
